Hmm, I'm suddenly not so sure they mean the 'audio quality' when they ask "Is this a good recording?". Could just be the knob tweakin' sound engineer in me coming to the surface once again :)

Yes, I think Alex is right. Many of the songs I found were random live recordings or other stuff. Could be right about them being scooped somehow from YouTube.
But I found two songs I've been wanting to listen to: Eyes by Rogue Wave, and Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's.
On the other hand, I can't find a decent recording of Into Your Arms by the Lemonheads on Songza, but it's easily locatable on YouTube. Hmmm.
Maybe it has a 'worthiness filter' built in as well :)
