Shouldn't we just wish him happy birthday....so belated happy birthday Fourstar but in future keep your Elton John likings to yourself! I guess the attached video (haven't watched it) was of Altered Images doing Happy Birthday, all twee and nice and bouncy Scottish fun, but an earlier, nay sinister, single of theirs, Dead pop stars, was a cracker.....something to get any celebration going!
Without looking it up, I do happen to know that there was a cover in the early 80s (which Dave Stewart had something to do with). But the 1960s original... no idea!
"Candle In The Wind"....sorry

It's my party and I'll cry if want to? Who the hell is that by anyway?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday fourstar, a bit late.

ReplyDeleteHelen Shapiro was the original if memory serves. But there was an American version too a bit later.
ReplyDeleteI saw that Dave Stewart cover the other week late at night on VH2 (it's really weird and slowed down) - Ace video though totally 80s.
Good grief: It's My Party
ReplyDeleteNow that's A.R.T.
